I'm working on a New Orleans project. This is the 4th piece that will find a home with my good friends Laura and Ces. They are originally from New Orleans and love everything to do with their traditions. At first they have purchased 2 of my "carnival" panels, Harlequin and Colombina.
Enthusiastic about that, they decided to place their first commission, Mardi Gras:
Ces and I had a blast going through the creative process, picking and choosing the imagery that would compose this piece, the colors, and the special details. It was a long process of two months! In the end, he gifted Laura with Mardi Gras! Now the piece sits in a shelf in their living room, with great light flooding in from the large windows by the pool. It really looks astonishing!
I'm now working on which will be their fourth LULART art work: NEW ORLEANS. The design is ready and approved. We are now starting the production process. I'll keep you posted with photos and eventually podcasts with the hopes that this will educate the general public about the detailed process of glass fusing. Thanks Ces and Laura for the opportunity!
